Don’t you just love stumbling onto a free concert in the park? I know I do! While taking a Sunday stroll through Boson’s back bay, we came upon the Summer Arts Weekend in Copley Square.
The event was put on by The Boston Globe, WGBH, and Citizen’s Bank. It featured tons of live music, art, and cultural programs. Since we happened upon the venue by chance, we arrived late, but we got to hear the tail-end of the folk music that took me back to Oh Brother Where Art Thou.
Copley Square is one of my favorite places in Boston, and you can probably see why. It has the perfect juxtaposition of centuries-old churches, with modern skyscrapers. History, the present and the future comes together here in a beautiful way!
Bon Me Foodtruck
I got a BBQ Pork sandwich from the Bon Me foodtruck just across the street. This vietnamese sandwich was so delish, with pickled veggies and slightly spicy BBQ pork.
I love how you can just wander through Boston in the summer and find free concerts and events!
Note: My favorite seastar ring in the picture is from Ambiance in San Francisco!
