About Chelsea Marrs
Notice anything new? I’ve recently rebranded from Chow Down USA to my name – Chelsea Marrs! There are many reasons for the rebrand, but the main one is that I’m no longer just creating food content – in fact, I’ve been branching out for the last few years, and now I finally have a brand that reflects more of my passions – travel, petite fashion, food, and social media / influencer tips!
The Chelsea Marrs platforms are dedicated to inspiring women to live a life they LOVE – in the form of travel & hotel guides, drool-worthy restaurant reviews, and petite fashion that won’t break the bank! You’ll also find plenty of influencer tips here! After 8 years of content creation & blogging, I’m so proud of how far my platforms have come, and I want to share what I’ve learned (and am continually learning) with you all!
I’m also the co-founder of Royal Horizon Media, a social media management & influencer marketing agency, which helps brands and influencers shine online. I’m incredibly proud of Royal and believe strongly that brands and influencers can work together in mutually beneficial ways when it’s done right!
Work with me:
- 1×1 Influencer Coaching
- Discovery Call for Brands – Social Media Management

The Girl Behind the Account
Born and raised in San Francisco, California and a UCLA alum, I majored in Linguistics & Psychology back in the day! Originally I was in a Doctorate program for Psychology before realizing that I wanted to use my language & behavioral skills in Marketing instead.
I moved to Boston a few years ago, bringing my blog with me. At the time, it was just for fun – originally documenting the restaurants my friends and I were going to back home. Growing up in the food mecca that is San Francisco, my friends and I were determined to branch out of our usual routine of going to the same restaurants over and over, and someone had to document this, right? Influencer wasn’t even a word yet (*gasp* can you imagine)!
Offline, I’m constantly working on mindset, personal development, & laughing with friends. I love dogs, bright colors, cozy fabrics, positivity, and have a serious sweet tooth.
Over the Years
Over the years, my social media accounts and blog have given me opportunities I never would have dreamed of! I’ve been on TV shows multiple times such as NESN’s Dining Playbook, interviewed on the radio with Billy Costa, and featured on in-store posters in Uniqlo on Newbury Street (pictured above). I’ve traveled the world with top hotels & tourism agencies, I’ve worked with some of my dream brands, and spoken on influencer panels & at conferences.

Fun Facts About Me
I love learning languages, including Japanese, Spanish, French and Italian!
I’m a dual citizen (U.S. and Ireland)!
During high school, I performed in an NFL halftime show for the San Francisco 49ers with my dance troop at the time!
I’ve always been drawn to bright colors. My mom used to say it was because when she was about 7 months pregnant with me, her appendix burst, and they had to perform surgery with me still in there! So I was exposed to all of this bright light way before most babies are. Who knows if this is really the reason behind my penchant for colors, but I like to think so!
So, that’s the story of me and the Chelsea Marrs blog! Hope you get a kick out of the travel guides, restaurant reviews and style posts, and hope you find the influencer tips useful!
