Floral dresses have been calling to me lately. Maybe it’s because the end of summer is in sight, with fall a little over a month away. It really feels like this year and summer has flown by faster than a bag of Oreos!
Moving to Boston from San Francisco about 3 years ago, I had to learn about seasons later than most. One of my favorite parts of summer is the incredible sudden bloom of every flower imaginable. Fall is gorgeous, but I will miss seeing colorful tulips and hydrangeas everywhere!
This autumn-toned floral dress from SheIn ($16.99) is my go-to transition dress from summer to fall. It brings the florals of summer together with the yellows, oranges, and browns of fall. I love the unique cutout detail on top, and the breezy feel is perfect for the recent Boston humidity and heat.
I paired it with my favorite lace-up block heels from Steve Madden (which you probably remember from my Open Newbury post and our visit to Portland, Maine lighthouses), my wooden watch c/o Jord, a green wrap bracelet, and a wide brown belt to tie the look together (pun not intended).
