The North End of Boston is known for it’s old-timey Italian charm, narrow bustling streets filled with pasta and seafood restaurants, but there’s much more than meets the eye! Nestled next to Neptune Oyster House on Salem Street is an adorable boutique named Shake the Tree (how cute is that name!).
Shake the Tree really reminds me of eclectic boutiques back home in San Francisco, and sells everything from high-end clothing to shiny jewelry, bags, cookbooks, candles, and cute gifts! Plus, the customer service here is always amazing, which is HUGE in my book.
I adore this red dress from Shake the tree. You guys, this is the softest dress I’ve ever worn! It’s full name is the Diedre Sleeveless Stretch Jersey Dress from the brand Velvet, and though it’s not made of velvet, it sure feels that way. I didn’t want to take it off! I adore how the fabric twists and drapes perfectly – unique details like this really set a dress apart. This would be so perfect for a night on the town with the girls, a date night, or a formal occasion of any kind. It’s the perfect color for fall yet it’s sleeveless so you can still wear it in this heat too.
Earrings and black bag are two of my fave accessories from Shake the Tree as well.
Oh, just a friendly reminder from your neighborhood wall to BE HAPPY 🙂
I love lamp! (Any Anchorman fans in the house?)

I definitely recommend a trip to Shake the Tree, whether you’re just visiting Boston or a local who, like me, forgets that there’s great shopping to be found in the North End too! It was extra excited to visit Shake the Tree so close to our trip back home to San Francisco, since it really reminds me of shops in the bay. We’re heading out there on Friday and I’m so excited!
