What to do in Reykjavik, Iceland
🌈Colorful houses: Most of the days here are gray, so they make up for it with extra colorful houses that are so fun to walk around and sightsee!
🌈Rainbow road: Another bright spot in the city, this rainbow road is so fun to stroll up and down.
🌈Sun voyager statue: Sun Voyager is described as a dreamboat, or an ode to the Sun. The artist intended it to convey the promise of undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, progress and freedom. To me it looked a lot like a viking ship too.
🌈Saga viking museum: I got so excited to learn about Iceland’s viking history on our trip. This museum takes just 20-30 minutes and has tons of great info and wax figures acting out important scenes in their history.
🌈Try on their famous Icelandic wool: Iceland gets really cold, so naturally they have some of the warmest wool clothing in the world. I tried on a few sweaters but I found them to be too itchy in the end!
🌈Botanical gardens & cafe: The gardens and cafe here are seriously cute – I saw stunning flowers and patterns I’ve never seen before, and everything seems more vibrant here. The cafe had stringed lights, a koi pond and a friendly resident cat too!
🌈Hallgrimskirkja church: This striking concrete structure looks as epic as the natural wonders here.

🌈Live music at Dillon’s bar: Iceland is known for it’s edgy music, so I was really glad we found this outdoor live music venue in the city to hear some local music too.
🌈People watch in the midnight sun: We were able to people watch on Saturday night, when it still looked like broad daylight out even though it was 1am!
Now that you have some options of what to do in Reykjavik Iceland, Which of these would you check out first?
